This calculator inflates your today's monthly expenses forward to your retirement age, then works out how large a corpus you'd need so that, drawn down over your retirement years at a more conservative post-retirement return, it keeps pace with inflation the whole way through. It then works backward to the fixed monthly SIP, growing at your expected pre-retirement return, that would build that corpus by the time you retire.
